Harris® Welding Alloy, 1/16 in Dia, 36 in Length, 10 lb, Box, 50000 psi Tensile, Chemical Composition: 1.5% Manganese, 0.02% Lead, Copper Balance, 2.8 to 4% Silicon, 1% Tin 1% Zinc , 0.50% Iron , 0.01% Aluminum and 0.50% Others, 70 to 150 A, 80 to 100 HRB Hardness, Applicable Materials: Similar Composition Base Metals, Brass, Copper-to-Steel, Coated Sheet Steels, Galvanized Steel
This copper-silicon alloy is used to weld similar composition base metals, brass and to weld these copper alloys to steel. Silicon bronze is also frequently used in GTAW brass welding of coated sheet steels.
