Harris®, E70S660, Alloy, GTAW, Series: ER70S6 TIG, 1/8 in Diameter, 36 in Length, 10 lb Container, Box Container, 80000 to 90000 psi Tensile Strength, Chemical Composition: 0.06 to 0.15% Carbon, 0.15 % Chromium, 1.40 to 1.85 % Manganese, 0.50 % Copper, 0.035 % Sulfur, 0.80 to 1.15 % Silicon, 0.15 % Nickel, 0.025 % Phosphorus, 0.03 % Vanadium, 0.15 % Molybdenum, Iron, 0.50 % Others, Applicable Materials: Mild Steel
ER70S-6 mild steel GTAW (TIG) alloy is a general purpose welding alloy for fabrication of mild steel. It contains more deoxidizers than ER70S-3. The additional deoxidizers also provide better wetting, giving a flatter bead shape and the capability of faster travel speeds. Usually used with 75/25 (argon/CO2) shielding gas or with higher contents of argon, such as 90/10. Can also be used with 100% CO2.
